In "Dr. Faustus" Emilio García Wehbi and Maricel Álvarez revive the medieval Faust myth and create a dialogue between the works of Goethe, Gertrude Stein, Lars von Trier and Marcel Duchamp.
Peeking through the obscene spyhole of "Étant Donnés", the combined materials from "Faust. The First Part of the Tragedy", "Dr. Faustus Lights the Lights" and "Antichrist" create a peculiar montage. Five dancers, an old man, the voice of a German actress speaking in English together with the light as a poetic persona provoke a clash of genres and a counterproposal against the classical story.
