"Expanding Dreamscapes" centered on 18 motifs drawn from over two years of activity in social VR platforms. Based on video stills and screenshots enhanced for print, the images were produced as 18 x 1,000 postcards and as acrylic glass works in three formats (200 x 112,5 cm, 120 x 67,5 cm, 70 x 39,4 cm). The project translated fleeting moments from virtual environments into physical objects and circulating images.
The same motifs were also exhibited inside the virtual world dreams about girls, presented on two Meta Quest 2 headsets. Looped video excerpts showed the moving-image sources of the stills, drawn from Virtuelle Bandenbildung (for Radikale Töchter), Virtual Club of Dangerous Women and virtual expeditions with unreal.theater among others.

"Expanding Dreamscapes was important to me because it emerged from a persistent desire to find visual and spatial forms capable of communicating the intensity, complexity, and emotional reality of what happens inside virtual worlds to those who have never experienced them."
