About

Public money is meant to serve the public, yet its rules often decide whose time counts and whose labour remains invisible. This project begins where institutions become inventive: in the quiet tactics used to compensate those who cannot officially be paid — Indigenous contributors, disabled workers in sheltered workshops, people living on welfare. Voices were altered through a voice distorter as these strategies were shared in virtual space, revealing a system sustained not only by law, but by the constant need to bend it in order to be fair.
